Rats are considerably larger, even young ones, and have larger feet. They have a more rounded snout and may be white, brown, gray or black. House mice have excellent vision, but little or no color vision.

Check them frequently, because mice can't live for very long in the small space of the trap. Make sure you have taken all the steps to prevent them from coming back in again. Also, if a mouse dies in your wall after eating the bait, it will start to decay and the smell will attract other pests.
Invasive species
If several females are held together under crowded conditions, they will often not have an estrus at all. If they are then exposed to male urine, they will come into estrus after 72 hours. Along with all the health issues mice could cause you, they are also extremely destructive. They will chew through a long list of materials, including fabric, plastic, drywall, wires, and more. This damage can start to add up over time, and you may have to spend hundreds to thousands of dollars on repairs.

At two weeks they open their eyes, and at three weeks they’re weaned. At five to eight weeks they’re ready to move to their own territory and mate. Sometimes, young females will live near their mother.

In fact, a female house mouse can give birth to a half dozen babies every three weeks and can produce up to 35 young per year.
House mice have four legs and a round shaped body. Their muzzles are pointed, and their ears are large with some hair. In tropical Asia, where their natural habitats are occupied by other, closely related species of Mus, house mice live only in buildings. When fields are plowed or crops harvested, these mice move into other fields or houses but not into forests. Male house mice court females by emitting characteristic ultrasonic calls in the 30 kHz–110 kHz [citation needed] range. Males can be induced to emit these calls by female pheromones.

I ordered samples of this 3″ x 6″ white Thassos marble subway tile to coordinate with the color of the floor tile and it was a welcome upgrade from the dated square tiles that were here when we bought the house. We used the same shower head and valve trim as we did in our hall bathroom. And then I decided on these more traditional shower door handles that are so weighty and beautiful in person.
